PM visits Terengganu with pledge of support for state initiatives

KUALA TERENGGANU: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak visited Terengganu with a pledge to support the state government initiatives for the sake of the people.

The Prime Minister said the Barisan Nasional government has never forsaken the people, be it at federal or state level.

“Terengganu people will be taken care on par with our motto of placing the people’s needs first.

“The government would never forsake the people in any circumstances,” he said during the meet the people session at the Batu Burok constituency here recently.“We have always supported the state government, especially when the welfare of the people is concern.

“The Federal Government will continue to provide funds for the state government to ensure the people here continue to prosper,” he said.

The Prime Minister also visited the Rhu Rendang constituency, had Friday prayers at Masjid Ladang in town as well as went cycling as part of his walkabout in the city.

In a carefree mood, the Prime Minister went cycling with state leaders before stopping at Dataran Syahbandar to shake hands with the traders and visitors.Meanwhile, Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said proclaimed the Prime Minister’s visit as recognition to the good work done by the state government.

“The state is tops in education as it is number on in UPSR, PMR, and SPM examinations.

“Education will continue to be our priority and we will be able to continue our good work with the help of the Federal Government,” he said. By- The star
